We recognize your need for appropriate protection and management of any personal information you share with us. To assist you, we provide this Privacy Statement explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information may be managed.
This Privacy Statement applies to all personal information entered through our ACF website. Personal information is data that reasonably can be used to identify or describe an individual.
ACF uses the personal information you enter to provide relevant content and personalize your experience. Please be advised that all college costs and funding estimates are projections only. Each school’s admission and funding administrators have the final say on all awarded funding.
ACF keeps ALL personal information confidential. We will not sell, rent or lease ANY information to others who are not directly affiliated with ACF.
To protect against unauthorized access, disclosure, or alteration of personal information, ACF employs appropriate physical, technical, and administrative measures.
Extensive physical security is designed to prevent unauthorized access to database equipment. High-level electronic security measures, such as firewalls, access restrictions, and encryption provide protection from hacking and unauthorized access. ACF limits access to personal information to those persons in the ACF organization, or as agents of ACF, who have a specific business purpose for maintaining and processing personal data.
By using the ACF website, you signify your agreement to the terms and conditions of this Privacy Statement. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, please do not disclose any personal information to the ACF website.
If we change this statement, we will post the revised statement here, along with the date of revision. If we make significant changes to the statement, we may also post a notice on our home page. Any changes will apply only from date of the revision. Amended dispute resolution provisions will not apply to any dispute of which the parties had actual notice as of the date of the amendment.
The ACF authorizes you to access / view, as a single copy, the content available within the ACF website solely for your personal, noncommercial use.
The ACF website may be used only for lawful purposes by individuals seeking information about colleges, universities, financial aid, or private sector scholarships.
When registering for the ACF Visionary Scholarship or the ACF FastTrack College Planning Resource Suite or when requesting additional information pertaining directly to the college planning process, you will be asked to provide valid contact information, including, but not limited to, address, city, state, zip, phone, and email address. The ACF will not release this information without your explicit, prior consent to any third party service, except to the extent necessary to comply with applicable laws or in legal proceedings where such information is relevant. At the time of your data submission, and if you choose to receive additional information, that request will be forwarded directly to the appropriate representative, colleague, and/or institution.
The American College Foundation does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, religion, national origin, or disability.
The ACF does not warrant that the ACF website will operate error-free or that the ACF website and its server(s) are free of computer viruses or any other related harmful mechanisms. In the event any equipment or data repair or replacement is necessary as a result of accessing the ACF website, the ACF is NOT responsible for any costs associated with the repair and/or replacement; the aggregate liability of the ACF to you for “all” claims arising from the use of the ACF website shall not exceed twenty-five dollars ($25).
The ACF website contains links that are provided “solely” as a courtesy to you and in no way should be construed as an endorsement or solicitation for business. The ACF is not responsible for the content of any linked (third-party) website and makes no representations regarding the content, accuracy, validity, or usefulness of any such linked site.
The ACF website is explicitly designed as a “venue” only; the ACF is not involved in the actual transaction, business or otherwise, between colleges, financial aid providers, students, third-party companies, or any employees thereof.

ACF Visionary Scholarship
When applying for and submitting your subsequent ACF Visionary Scholarship ‘Application Packet’ you understand and agree that your submitted application packet becomes the exclusives property of the ACF and that no correspondence regarding the receipt, screening, verification, or judging status of a submitted application packet will be accepted. By applying for the ACF Visionary Scholarship, you are certifying that neither you (the student) nor your family (parents, step-parents, and/or guardians) are NOT an employee of the ACF, their subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and/or promotion agencies. You also understand that an application packet may NOT be amended or supplemented once it has been received. Winners will be selected and notified in June of each Award Year, with funds distributed directly to the institution during the month of July. If you are awarded the ACF Visionary Scholarship while an underclassman, the monies will be held by the ACF until you complete high school and begin your higher education. If you are selected as a recipient of the ACF Visionary Scholarship, you agree to have your name, award-winning essay, state of residence, and photo used by the ACF in publicizing awards.
ACF FastTrack College Planning Resource Suite
ACF FastTrack Resource Suites are awarded based on the student’s personal statement and their ability to articulate the importance of a college education to them. Current GPA and test scores (if applicable) may also be considered. All high school grade levels are eligible to apply and the student’s current grade level has no bearing on being selected. There is also no need to demonstrate financial need to qualify. Families of all income ranges are eligible to apply. By applying for the ACF FastTrack Resource Suite of College Planning Resources, you are certifying that neither you (the student) nor your family (parents, step-parents, and/or guardians) are NOT an employee of the ACF, their subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and/or promotion agencies.
Winners have full and unlimited access to all features and benefits contained within the ACF FastTrack Resource Suite. Up to 100 ACF FastTrack Resource Suites are awarded with each quarterly deadline. Non-winners may re-apply.
The application process and the entire suite of ACF FastTrack resources are free. To protect privacy of all applicants, dates of birth and social security numbers are not required to apply. Personalized college planning reports, FAFSA and CSS/Profile answer keys, and college cost summary reports are all generated from information gathered from the family. Financial data is gathered in bands (e.g., $1,000 – $4,999; $5,000 – $24,999) to further protect the privacy of the student and family.
The ACF will determine, and has final say, on all award recipients. Selected recipients agree that their application and award information including personal statement, picture, name, state, and high school grade level may be acknowledged on the American College Foundation website and associated materials. All submitted application packets become the exclusive property of the American College Foundation. No correspondence regarding the receipt, screening, verification, or judging status of a submitted application packet will be accepted. A submitted application packet may NOT be amended.
